I've checked the box twice since putting it out. The first time, someone had moved it underneath the bus stop covering. :D The second time, everything was gone. I guess someone needed the box too. A little :0( but I won't give up. Next time in our own yard. Anyone else have ideas or suggestions?

This is the sign I attached to my Free Box. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture. :P I decided to experiment and try to share with those in our neighborhood. We have million-dollar homes, have had a homeless lady live behind our house, HUD housing and our own single-family dwelling in our neighborhood. My box is a standard, plastic storage box with a lid, about 2'X 2'. Inside I put a new stuffed toy, a can of corn, a pair of scissors, some pens and pencils, a screwdriver, a basket and a notebook for listing large items. I thought about putting it in our own front yard, but I'd really like to see it get larger like the Telluride one...and I wanted to remain anonymous. So I put it near the bus stop that's close to the HUD housing. I did envision everyone having a free box on their own property and neighbors feeling unashamed to take what they need. Maybe someday. I'll be back with a report soon. Hope it helps someone.
God bless our neighbors in the fire areas and in eastern seaboard storm areas today!

Breathtaking Telluride, Colorado has a "Free Box" on one of their side streets. Everyone just comes and gives or takes what they need. Cleaning out your closets or garage? Just feel like sharing something someone posted on the "Whatcha Need" tab? Let us know! Maybe you just can't contain yourself to tell the world about a blessing you just received...here's the place!

As a proper leader, I'll go first.
Since I'm posting this away from home, I don't have a photo of the exact cape, but here's one on Etsy. Check out the price...

It looks like mine is a little bit finer yarn, and I think it's much cuter! Would be adorable over a little black or print summer dress for an evening out. Email me where to send it, and it's yours! The only cost to you is...please offer a gift on this page or comment anywhere else on the site.
